- Gwyneth Squires Passes
Gwyneth Squires, a well-known bandleader and designer, has died.
Squires, who was born in Trinidad, has been making costumes for nearly four decades and has won Band of the Year in both Grand and Junior Kadooment on several times.
She has also been named Festival Designer of the Year about 20 times.
She received the Barbados Service Medal in 2013 for her participation to the Crop Over Festival.
