On August 27, 2026, police arrested and charged Mazie Cumberbatch, a 28-year-old barber of Upper Cane Hall, with the offence of assault.
Investigations revealed that on August 26, 2026, the accused allegedly assaulted a 26-year-old barber of Belair by pushing him in his chest causing actual bodily harm.
The offence was committed in Paul’s Avenue. Cumberbatch was granted station bail in the sum of $1,000.00 ECC, with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on August 31, 2026, to answer the charge.
