St Vincent Police are now investigating the death of a 44yro Belair resident.
According to information Vibert Jack drowned at the Mt Wynne beach on the Leeward side of the island earlier on Thursday.
Further details reveal that Jack may have been intoxicated before he went swimming.
After entering the water the 44yro went missing briefly, he was later found and brought ashore in a motionless state.
Jack was pronounced dead on shore by the district doctor. Police are carrying out investigations.
