Bethany Cordice charged with murder of Largo Height man

STUBBS RESIDENT CHARGED WITH MURDER

On September 8, 2026, police arrested and charged Bethany Cordice, a 26-year-old resident of Stubbs, with the offence of murder.

Investigation revealed that on August 5, 2026, the accused allegedly, with malice aforethought, caused the death of Vernan Alexander a 56-year-old labourer of Largo Height by striking him to the forehead with a piece of steel.

The offence was committed in Largo Height.

Cordice appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on September 8, 2026, where she was not required to plead. She was granted bail in the sum of $40,000.00 ECC, with one surety.

She was also ordered to report to the Central Police Station every Monday and Thursday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m, and was also ordered to surrender all travel documents.

Stop notices were placed at all ports of entry and exit. The matter was adjourned to September 24, 2026.
