Parliamentary Representative for East Kingstown Fitzgerald Bramble says this country’s Finance Minister Camillo Gonsalves’ prediction of inflation due to the Covid-19 pandemic is not entirely accurate.
While speaking on the New Times programme, Bramble said that while Covid was a contributing factor, the economy was already on a downward spiral when the pandemic started.
MP Bramble said the Government added to the burden of Vincentians by imposing a one percent increase in Customs service charge.
Bramble says the priority should have been given to the hardship being faced by the people in the face of a crisis.
