Brandon Child, a 39-year-old engineer, has died following a stabbing incident at his home in Villa/Fountain on the evening of Monday, December 29, 2025. Police have taken a suspect into custody.
Police responded to reports of an altercation at Mr. Child’s residence at approximately 9:00 p.m. According to preliminary reports, Mr. Child sustained a single stab wound to the chest during the altercation. He was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A suspect is currently in custody and is assisting police with their inquiries into the matter. As the investigation proceeds, a post-mortem examination is pending to formally ascertain the cause of death.
Police are appealing to the public for assistance with the investigation.
