1 Min Read

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is set to receive its first cruise ship call on today 11th November 2016.

The Britannia cruise ship, with some 4,000 passengers, will make its inaugural visit to our shores .

Minister of Tourism, Cecil McKie in his address to mark Tourism Month 2016, said how we respond to this wonderful opportunity will, to a large extent, shine a light on whether we are moving forward together with maturity to capitalize on this competitive market.

He said his Ministry will be conducting human resource training seminars to lift the quality of service and enhance the overall visitor experience.

Minister McKie is also reminding community groups, private sector enterprises, government departments, and individuals including students of the need to work together, and speak positively of this destination, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Tourism Month is being celebrated from November 1–30 under the slogan ‘Tourism is Everyone’s Business, Live it, Love it, Embrace it’.
