Tropical Shipping Supports Inaugural Developmental Swim Meet
Black Sands Swim Squad (BSSS), in partnership with Tropical Shipping, hosted its inaugural Developmental Swim Meet on Saturday 26th September at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Center in Ratho Mill, bringing together 84 swimmers from across the region.
The meet featured 41 swimmers from Black Sands Swim Squad, 18 from Blue Marlins, 18 from H2O Lions, 6 unattached swimmers and visiting swimmer Greyson Burrell of Blue Marlins Swim Academy in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The event was designed to give swimmers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to experience competitive swimming in a fun and supportive environment, while encouraging greater participation in the sport.
The partnership also highlighted Tropical Shipping’s commitment to its “Committed to Island Life” philosophy.
By supporting a grassroots sporting event focused on children, families and community development, Tropical Shipping is putting that commitment into action and helping create opportunities for young athletes in St. Vincent and the wider Caribbean.
Black Sands Swim Squad thanked Tropical Shipping for its support and said the club hopes the Developmental Swim Meet will become an annual event that continues to grow and attract swimmers from across the region.
