Cara Williams of South Rivers charged with fraud and impersonation

Police have arrested and charged Cara Williams, 18 years unemployed of South Rivers with fraud and impersonation.

According to investigations, the accused allegedly with intent to defraud an employee of the Electoral Office falsely represented herself to be Anika Pope, a 19 year old unemployed of Lowman’s Windward.

In addition, the accused was further charged for impersonation to wit, she gave to Anastasia Wickham-Caesar, she being a person employed in the public service and assigned to the Electoral Office, information in the truth of which the accused did not believe, namely, that the accused was Anika Pope of Lowman’sWindward, intending there to cause the employee to grant a temporary record of the identification details of Anika Pope of Lowman’s Windward which she ought not to have done of the true state of facts.

The incident occurred at Bay Street, Kingstown on 06/07/2020.

Williams will appear before the Serious offences Court to answer to the charges.
