- Carriacou celebrates as Paradise Beach rated ‘number one’ in region
Carriacou, the sister island of Grenada, expressed their delight and jubilation today as they officially commemorated Paradise Beach’s victory in the category of Best Caribbean Beach in the USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award 2024.
Tevin Andrews, the Minister responsible for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, described the island as “exemplary.”
Minister Andrews affirmed that the Ministries of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government will persist in working together with the Grenada Tourism Authority to protect and enhance the globally acclaimed beach.
Furthermore, an extra lifeguard has been hired and a lifeguard tower has been installed to ensure the safety of the area.
She stated that this offers up new prospects for product development and serves as motivation to welcome guests with open arms.
