Lara Carter a resident from the community of Ottley Hall who was wanted by the police in connection with an assault-related offense upon Connell Jack of the same address on June 13th, 2018 was turned over to the police.
Carter who was on the run for several days, has given himself up to Law Enforcement Officers with the assistance of former Magistrate Raymond Cadette on June 26th, 2018, a bulletin was issued that he was armed and dangerous.
As a result, he was arrested and charged for assaulting Jack by pointing a loaded firearm to his face.
Carter was escorted to the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 facing the charge before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne to which he entered a not guilty plea.
When the issue of bail arose Prosecutor Corleen Samuel objected. She told the Court that following the offense Carter was avoiding the Police and they are currently investigating a report of aggravated burglary of which he is an interest.
Also, a bench warrant had been issued for his arrest. The objection was upheld and Carter was remanded into custody until July 3rd, 2018 when his bail will be reviewed.
