The owner of motor vehicle T 5407 is currently assisting Colonarie police with their investigation into a robbery that occurred on Thursday night.
According to information obtained by News784, Unknown individuals broke into Jim Bobs Block Factory located in Colonarie and removed 10 sacks of cement.
The robbers made their entrance by knocking out a back entrance facing the beach.
The source told News784, 7 sacks of cement were found in the back of the vehicle, 1 was found in nearby bushes and 2 were discovered on the beach following the police intervention.
We were informed that while the individuals were attempting to make their getaway the police appeared on the scene and the robbers fled leaving the vehicle behind.
News784 further understands that the owner of the vehicle went to the Colonarie Police Station on Friday morning, where he reported the vehicle as stolen.
However, in an apparent twist, a resident of Colonarie reported to the police, that the owner looks strikingly similar to an individual they saw hiding behind a back wall which separates the Palm Beach Club from the seafront, at the time of the robbery.
Jim Bobs Blocks factory is located in colonarie a short distance from the Palm Beach Club, on the Windward highway.
News784 was told the vehicle is still in the location it was discovered last evening, however, the stolen cement is now in the custody of the police.
