The date for the commencement of the duty-free concession on Christmas barrels is November 12, 2018.
This announcement was made by Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves during his independence speech on Saturday 27th October 2018.
The concession will run until December 31, 2018. Last year, over 20,000 persons benefited from such concession.
In 2016 the duty-free period was extended to Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
This is the 18th consecutive year for duty- free concessions on Christmas barrels.
