- DIAMOND MULTI-PURPOSE CENTRE UNDERWAY
Construction on the Diamond Multipurpose centre is well underway. Area Representative Hon. Fredrick Stephenson visited the site on Monday April 15th.
The two-story building will cater to two cosmetology spaces namely hair dressing and barbering, a library, kitchenette, computer laboratory, among others.
The first floor he noted will be of a larger open space to facilitate community functions such as meetings, weddings, socials and many other activities.
The two-million-dollar project is a joint funded by the Governments and Peoples of the Republic of China/Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The construction is expected to last up to 10 months.
Speaking to the API, the area representative also expressed his pleasure at having artisans from the community employed on the project.
