Corletha Ollivierre, veteran journalist, will led the staff of Interactive Media Limited and act as interim Editor of Searchlight from January 1, 2024.
Ollivierre will take over when Clare Keizer’s current CEO retires on December 31, 2023.
For 17 years, Ollivierre was the General Manager of the National Broadcasting Corporation.
In a piece published this weekend, Searchlight quoted Keizer as saying, “The decision to step away from day-to-day operations was a difficult one.” She believes, however, that the moment has come for both the organisation and her to seize fresh opportunities.”
SEARCHLIGHT grew and increased its reach and influence under her leadership. She has played a key role in the newspaper’s push into ‘new media,’ assuring its sustained development and relevance in an ever-changing media world.
Keizer will continue on the board of directors.
