The Honourable Daniel Cummings, Minister of Health, Environment and Energy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to this sister nation, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
During the cordial exchange, both sides discussed matters of common interest and reviewed the existing cooperation relations between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, particularly in the field of health.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of continuing to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between both countries, as well as exploring new opportunities to expand collaboration in various medical specialties.
Ambassador Rodríguez Etcheverry underscored Cuba’s willingness to continue contributing to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and to the well-being of the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He also took the opportunity to brief the Minister on Cuba’s complex energy situation, due to the intensification of the US blockade, with particular severity in the aforementioned sector.
Minister Cummings acknowledged the longstanding bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two countries and Cuba’s invaluable contribution to different sectors of national development, particularly in the areas of health and professional training.
The meeting took place in a fraternal atmosphere and constituted another opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of both countries to continuing to strengthen their bilateral relations (Embassy of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
