- Mudflows disrupts Perseverance water treatment facility
The Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) is working to fully restore water delivery to homes in several North Windward communities.
According to the CWSA, the disruptions are caused by high amounts of silt in the water intake at the Perseverance water treatment facility, which serves multiple North Windward settlements.
The CWSA stated in an update on Wednesday that the input to the Perseverance water treatment facility remained closed due to the recurrence of unacceptably high levels of silt in the entering water.
As a result, the water supply to the following localities will be disrupted:.
Dickson
Spring Village
Langley Park
Chapmans
Rabacca
Orange Hill
Tourama
Water truck deliveries will resume in those communities until pipe-borne water service is restored.
CWSA has thanked their customers for their patience and understanding as they continue to monitor the situation and work tirelessly to restore the entire system.
