After almost Twenty Fours hours of recounting the ballots in the North Leeward constituency, Carlos James of the Unity Labour Party was declared the official winner.
The recounting which started at about 9 am on Friday 6th November end around 5 am on Saturday 7th November.
James was declared the winner on Thursday night by 7 votes, However, following the recount, he was declared the winner by one vote.
About twenty ballots belonging to James was rejected due to mutilation.
Matthews legal team which requested time to consider a second recount was rejected by the returning officer for North Leeward.
James was declared the official winner. We will update.
