Delta Air Lines’ nonstop service between Atlanta (ATL) and St. Vincent (SVD) will make its final flight on September 5, 2026, marking the permanent termination of the short-lived route.
The flight on September 5 was originally intended to mark the beginning of a routine seasonal pause, with service scheduled to resume on December 19, 2026.
However, Delta has officially scrapped those plans, confirming the route is permanently discontinued. The decision to eliminate the service was finalized and loaded into Delta’s system on May 23, 2026.
The route’s termination comes less than a year after its highly publicized launch on December 20, 2025. Operated on a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, the service made Delta the only U.S. carrier offering direct flights from Atlanta to St. Vincent.
At its launch, the direct flight was celebrated as a “strategic investment” designed to build on St. Vincent’s record-breaking year in stayover arrivals. Local officials had praised the connection for transforming travel to the island “from a multi-stop logistical challenge into a potential one-stop destination” for travelers coming from the United States, Europe, and Asia.
