Drugs discovered among fruits and vegetables in cargo vessel
Police and Customs in Trinidad seized an undisclosed quantity of drugs on Tuesday afternoon from a Vincentian-owned cargo boat at the Queen’s Wharf in Port-of-Spain.
The vessel, Admiral Bay III Kingstown, was docked and loaded with fruits and vegetables when officers from the Customs and Excise Division and T&T Police Service acted on intelligence and swooped down on the cargo vessel, where they conducted a search.
The officers allegedly found the drugs hidden among the goods in boxes and crocus bags.
This is a developing story.
