Kingstown, St. Vincent, April 27, 2016 A donation by CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank to the Eagles Cricket Club not only prepared the organization for on field duties but also off the field.
On Friday April 22, 2016, Business Support Officer & Employee Engagement Champion Jacintha Hinds presented Javid Wilson, President of Eagles Cricket Club with a cheque for the purchase of much needed cricket gear to assist with their participation in the St Vincent First Division of the 50-overs- a- side cricket competition.
Apart from assisting in the team’s preparation for the tournament, proceeds from the donation were also used to promote teamwork and positive growth and development of the youths in the community where the team members reside.
Wilson thanked the bank for the gesture which he said gave a boost of confidence to the team and the community.
He vowed that his organization would make maximum use of the equipment and promised to “put their best foot forward” in the competition.
Hinds, who indicated that the area of sports and community was an integral part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility, wished the team the best in its endeavors.
