ECGC Foundation Funds UWI Open Campus Students

Four students of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus, have been presented with bursaries from the East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) Foundation Inc.

The bursary recipients are Tamara Browne who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting, Karla Gellizeau who is pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies, Shurlon Creese who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management Studies with a specialization in Human Resource Management and Kaziah Lorraine who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management Studies with a specialization in Marketing.

The  ECGC has agreed to grant EC$2,000 to all four recipients, a requirement is that students’ grades had to be in good standing to be selected.

Mr. Dixon Findlay a representative of the board of directors of the ECGC said the Foundation has been making a great contribution towards the education of young people in SVG.

The foundation has so far made 12 contributions to the Open Campus at a value of EC$24,000.
