On Tuesday, 6 January 2026, the inaugural meeting of the emerging WenCHAM St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) Chapter was held at the Mayreau Conference Room at Grenadine House, bringing together 21 registered and prospective members for an introductory networking and “Startup Studio” session.
The meeting provided an opportunity for innovative Vincentian entrepreneurs to connect with one another, engage in purposeful networking, and gain insight into WenCHAM’s approach to entrepreneurship as a tool for economic growth, collaboration, and global engagement.
WenCHAM (World Chamber of Entrepreneurs for Economic Development) is a global entrepreneurship platform launched in 2025 under the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), a G20-affiliated organisation focused on access to smart finance, inclusive economic growth, and entrepreneurial diplomacy.
WenCHAM operates through national chapters currently active in 16 countries, including the United States, France, Brazil, Singapore, South Africa, Senegal, Türkiye, Morocco, Uganda, Zambia, Namibia, Bahrain, Bolivia, Cameroon, and São Tomé & Príncipe.
WenCHAM exists to develop qualified entrepreneurs, connect members to global networks of investors, mentors, and partners, and amplify the voice of entrepreneurs on national and international stages. The organisation works collaboratively with local chambers of commerce, business associations, universities, non-profits, and public-sector stakeholders, strengthening existing entrepreneurial ecosystems rather than duplicating them.
Founding Partner of WenCHAM SVG, Kimya Glasgow, addressed participants and emphasized the importance of collective progress, noting that sustainable success is achieved when entrepreneurs move forward together rather than in isolation.
The session also featured remarks delivered virtually by Kevin Hin, Director General of WenCHAM.
The practical component of the session was facilitated by Dr. Niyan Fraser, PhD, who led participants through hands-on training using the Lean Canvas methodology to structure and refine their business ideas into viable pitches. He was supported by startup mentor Allan Daisley, who will be preparing participants for pitch training. Mentor and pitch judge Norlann Gabriel joined the session via Zoom.
Over the coming weeks, members and participants will continue to develop their business concepts and pitches, culminating in a formal pitch session.
According to Ms. Glasgow, “We are currently open to new members who are innovative, energetic, and agile-minded entrepreneurs and stakeholders interested in being part of WenCHAM SVG.”
The inaugural meeting marked a strong start for WenCHAM SVG, signalling a commitment to structured entrepreneurship, peer collaboration, and global connectivity for entrepreneurs and allies in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
