Five New Cases Of Zika Virus In SVG

The ministry of health says that five new cases of the Zika virus have been confirmed here bringing the total now to eight.

A release from the health ministry says that the new cases are connected to persons on the Grenadine island of Bequia, with Dr Rosmond Adams asking persons not to let their guard down.

The ministry has been on a campaign to get rid of the mosquito that carrie the Zika virus, and wants persons to continue to keep their surroundings clean and to cover containers outdoors that have water.
