Foreign Nationals Came With Plans To Work With Criminals Here

Commissioner of Police here on the island of St Vincent Reynold Hadaway said at a press conference on Wednesday 18th,  January,  that foreigners may have contributed to the upsurge in criminal activities in 2016.

He said the Police would have received intelligence that nationals from Trinidad came to the island with the intention to work with criminals here.

Commissioner Hadaway told members of the media that they had apprehended two of those persons.

Two Trinidadian nationals appeared in court on Tuesday and were fined and ordered deported by the court.

The commissioner also told the media that as of Wednesday evening the information he had was that the fine imposed by the court was not yet paid.

The police high command also noted that they are working with their counterparts in Trinidad to ascertain whether or not the two men are persons of interest there.
