Mr. Vincent Reid, Supervisor at the Solid Waste Management Unit (SWMU), in the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA), said they have collected 1,659 truckloads of white goods since the commencement of the Free White Goods Collection Service.
Ahead of the 11th Free White Goods Collection Service, set to take place from 26th September to 1st October, Mr. Reid reiterated that while they conduct the free service people are also continuing to pay to have their white goods collected throughout the year and the service continues to have a positive environmental impact in the country.
White Goods are heavy consumer durables such as air conditioners, refrigerators, stoves,they are typically finished in white enamel.
