Prime Minister Godwin Friday of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has departed for Taiwan, hoping to boost economic ties and stimulate domestic growth through high-level talks.
Leading a delegation to Taipei, Friday announced via social media that the visit will focus on “investment, economic cooperation, and areas that can support growth and job creation at home”.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. PM Friday expressed his desire for a “productive week of engagements” aimed at building upon this longstanding friendship while creating new opportunities for his people.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a delegation that includes Foreign Minister Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, Attorney General Louise Mitchell, and Ambassador for Finance, Climate and Investment Kevin Hope.
Taiwan’s Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Fiona Huei-Chun Fan, is also accompanying the group on the trip
