Kemique Henry, a 38-year-old Labourer of Georgetown was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug.
According to the investigations, on Monday 18th March 2024 about 3:00 p.m., the police in Georgetown searched the defendant and found a quantity of 0.62 grammes of Cocaine on his person. He was cautioned and admitted that the illegal drug was his.
Henry appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court on Thursday 21st March 2024 and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was fined $1000.00 to be paid in forthwith or six (6) months in prison if he defaults. A destruction order was granted for the illegal drug.
