The Girl Guides Association of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will commence a series of activities to mark the beginning of the Association’s celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Independence in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
On Saturday, 25th May 2019, the Girl Guides Association will host their annual Dance Festival at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown under the theme “Celebrating We at 40”.
The Festival will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature dances from Bim Bims, Brownie Guides, Girl Guides and Ranger Guides from across the length and breadth of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In addition, the Dance Festival will be accentuated by chorale speeches to toast the beauty, strength, achievement and resilience of Vincentians and our beloved Hairouna.
Chief Commissioner of the Association, Mrs. Laura Browne stated that the Association is continuing its quest to empower girls and young women to meaningfully contribute to the development of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and reignite a spirit of national pride among the citizenry.
The Association extends an invitation for members of the general public to join the celebrations and to follow the monthly activities that will be hosted by the Association in celebration of the 40th year of independence in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
