Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves leaves the state today, Tuesday 10th January, with a five-member delegation to the seventh session of the International Renewable Energy Agency Assembly.
The delegation includes his wife, Eloise, Isis Gonsalves, special adviser at the SVG UN mission in New York, the head of the Energy Unit, Ellsworth Dacon and Ken Morris a senior official in the Ministry of Finance.
The Assembly will bring together international policy makers at the premier level to discuss urgent matters related to renewable energy, regarding capacity, reserves and global collaboration.
The Assembly is IRENA’s ultimate decision-making authority and is made up of one representative from each Member state.
The assemblage takes place from January 14 to 15, 2017, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Gonsalves and his delegation are expected to return to the state on January 17th.
