“I have a timeline in my head,” that’s was Dr. Ralph Gonsalves’ response to a journalist, who asked the current leader of the ULP when was he going to exit the political arena.
Gonsalves said he has not and does not intend to tell anybody about “his timeline”, before he is ready to share it with the public.
Gonsalves said the ULP has very good men and women….bright, experienced young men and women, and he shares a lot of matters with the cabinet broadly.
“But”, PM Gonsalves said, “I call Camilo (Gonsalves) and Saboto (Caeser) a lot and bring them into lot things that I do”.
Responding to journalists Gonsalves said,
“You may figure out in your head why I called Saboto and Camilo and gave them a lot of additional responsibilities. Believe me, when I told the electorate that I will transition and they put me back in office, among the things, I think they want me to do is the transition.”
”I have a lot of juice left in me you know!” the Prime Minister added, “But it’s time for genuinely 21st-century men and women. I think in a very forward looking way. To tell you when I intend precisely to transition, I would not tell you or anybody. That is something between me and my God.”
Gonsalves said, “I will talk to all the people involved and when I am ready, when I am ready to tie-up everything together, I would say it and the people would trust me to do it.”
