Grenada Police Arrest Vincy In $200,000 Drug Bust

Law enforcement officers have arrested and charged one man in connection with the discovery of 112 pounds of Cannabis recovered from an abandoned vehicle in the Boca, St. George’s area in January.

Vincentian national Njazani David, who also has Grenadian status was apprehended by police in St. George’s last week and slapped with two drug-related charges – Possession and Trafficking in a Controlled Drug.

David, who is said to have strong ties between the two (2) islands is jointly charged with 35-year-old Avanel Antoine of Fontenoy, St. George for the illegal substance carrying an estimated street value of $285, 768.00, which was confiscated by policemen from an abandoned vehicle on December 29, 2019.

Police have identified Antoine and David as two out of three (3) suspects, who reportedly fled the scene but left behind the drugs.

 One man, considered as a suspect, remains at large. (THE NEW TODAY)
