Grenada police to conduct breathalyzer checks for carnival

The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) is reminding motorists that will be conducted throughout the Carnival season as part of ongoing efforts to promote road safety and prevent incidents involving impaired driving.

Motorists found driving under the influence of alcohol will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

The RGPF is urging motorists to exercise responsibility when participating in Carnival activities. Anyone who intends to consume alcohol is encouraged to make alternative arrangements for transportation and never drink and drive.

Impaired driving puts not only the driver at risk, but also passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.

The RGPF encourages everyone to enjoy the festivities responsibly and help make Carnival 2026 a safe and peaceful celebration.
