Gun-Play In Georgetown "Under Immediate Investigation."

An altercation between Police officers and a civilian in Georgetown has been making its rounds on social media.
A video clip was posted by the Searchlight newspaper on its Facebook page on the evening of Sunday 23rd October, which showed a three-way altercation involving a heavy-set man in t-shirt and army fatigues, a man in a vest and short jeans and a third man in t-shirt and jeans.
During the fracas, the heavy-set man attempts to separate the two others. The man in the vest picks up a boulder in a probable attempt to inflict injury.
The heavy-set man then brandishes a handgun, pushes the man in the vest away and is seen firing one round into the air.

A barrage of expletives is exchanged between the three individuals.
The man in the t-shirt walks away from the altercation while the heavy-set man continues to attempt to restrain the man in the vest.
The video clip then shows the two men engaged in a heated exchange of words with villagers.

Another man enters the scene and attempts to calm the irate man in the vest who releases a slew of expletives.The heavy-set man reprimands him with a clout to the back of the head. He then makes an attempt to stop the recording of the incident.
News 784 has contacted the Police Public Relations Department and it has confirmed knowledge of an altercation between Police officers and a civilian.
There were no reports of injuries and an investigation into Sunday’s incident is already in progress.
The names of the individuals involved in the tussle were not released.
