(By Javin Jacobs) – News784 was informed of an attempted robbery in the Diamond area sometime around 5.40 pm at a property belonging to businessman Obediah Myers.
While a number of gunshots were heard during the attempted Break in it is not clear if anyone was injured.
Residents have reported to News784 that a group of young men not known by villagers have been seen loitering in the area within the last three weeks.
We were also informed that the individual tried to make his getaway and was pursued by a vehicle driven by the owner.
Following the pursual which went on for about 10 minutes, the man was captured and taken to the Calliaqua Police Station.
News784 was also informed that the young men have been occupying an abandoned house in the area.
