HOPE is in the future for VINSA

1 Min Read

On March 16th members of the Vincentian Student Association at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus took to the polls to vote in their new executive for the 2017/2018 academic year.

There were quite a few interesting things about this year’s elections; all the candidates elected ran uncontested and for the first time a mother and daughter was elected on a VINSA’s executive.

Nisha Hope, 2nd-year student reading for a BFA in Creative Arts specialising in Film and Theatre is the newly elected President and will be serving the Vincentian populace during her final year at the university.

Her mandate is for better integration among the Vincentian students as this is currently lacking and increased scholarship fund opportunities for its members.

Also making up the executive are VP Anya Fredericks, Secretary Tianna Homer, Treasurer Kori Providence, PRO Brittney Lewis, Welfare Officer Rhea Lewis, Constitutional Chairperson K-wani Roberts, Special Projects Chairperson Tessa John and Adiel Hope as the Cultural Entertainment and Chairperson.
