Political activist for the New Democratic Party Doug Howard is among supporters of the party who appears irate over the election of the new executive of the NDP, at their 40th Convention on Sunday 27th May 2018.
Howard like many other have aired their dissatisfaction with what they consider old members making a comeback.
In a Facebook video posted on Sunday night Howard said; “ Everyone with the exception of the PRO is over 50yro there is no more room in the NDP for young people, you say that you love young people, however, it is not reflected in the executive”.
Howard said the NDP is criticising Gonsalves for a lot of things that they themselves are doing too.
He said that even the NDP New Times program is losing steam, and such is reflected in the dwindling number of callers and listeners on a daily basis.
“ This is so because supporters in the diaspora and all over the globe are disgruntled with the party”.
Howard said that if an election is called today you would hear the same cry that was echoed in 2015.
“ The same cry that was echoed in 2005, 2010, 2015, you will hear it in 2020 or before the same cry”.
That cry according to Howard would be that the Gonsalves regime thief the elections, no says Howard.
“ No, you lazy asses, get up and go to work, you did not put the right people in the right position, you putting square pegs in round hole, and you expect it to fit, it is not going to fit”.
Howard noted that right now the masses should rise up and kick out the NDP, and replace it with another opposition party.
