The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic will commemorate the 189th anniversary of the passing away of the Liberator Simon Bolívar on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019.
To this end, the Embassy will screen a Venezuelan film about Bolívar’s life at the Majesty’s prison in Kingstown at 5 pm.
Simon Bolivar (1783–1830) was a Venezuelan military and political leader who was instrumental in helping Latin American countries achieve independence from the Spanish Empire.
During his lifetime, he helped countries such as Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia to achieve independence.
