JetBlue will offer new service from LaGuardia Airport in New York to Bermuda and The Bahamas. The airline will operate two of four seasonal flights from the second busiest airport in New York.
The Bermuda and Bahamas flights are anticipated to operate daily beginning in the spring of 2023, pending approval from the respective civil aviation authorities.
Wayne Furbert, Bermuda’s Minister of Transport, welcomes the new flight to the island, which comes after United Airlines announced a new route from Newark that would begin in March 2023 and British Airways said that it will resume daily service between Bermuda and Heathrow in April.
These gateway cities are crucial to our tourism rebound, according to Furbert. The revitalization of air service continues with the expansion of flight capacity and frequency between Bermuda and existing and new airports of destination.”
