On Thursday, December 28, Royal Caribbean International’s ship named ‘Jewel of the Seas’ visited Port Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for the first time.

The vessel docked at Port Kingstown promptly at 8 a.m. The Ministry of Tourism expressed their pleasure in receiving the captain, crew, and passengers of the ‘Jewel of the Seas’ on its first visit to the island.

Jewel of the Seas is operated by Royal Caribbean and belongs to the Radiance-class of vessels. The construction of the ship was finished during the spring of 2004, and it embarked on its first journey in May of the same year.

The current voyage of the Jewel of the Seas is a 7-day round-trip cruise in the Southern Caribbean, with a theme centred around the celebration of the New Year. The schedule commences on December 30th and concludes on January 6th, 2024.

St. Vincent is projected to receive 377 cruise calls in the 2023-2024 season.
