TRAFFIC ALERT FOR CUSTOMERS TRAVELLING INTO/OUT OF JFK
Caribbean Airlines passengers travelling into/out of JFK International, New York from Tuesday, May 7 through Thursday, May 9 are advised to as the outbound JFK Expressway (JFKE) will be closed and all vehicular traffic exiting the Central Terminal Area (CTA) must utilize the outbound Van Wyck Expressway (VWE).
Allow for additional travel time to/from the Detour signage and VMS boards will be deployed to assist with wayfinding while the detour is active, and GPS navigation applications will be updated to include the roadway closure and detour route.
In addition to the above measures, PAPD support units will be stationed at key locations along the detour route to assist with traffic.
Customers are reminded that check-in for all Caribbean Airlines flights begin four (4) hours prior to schedule departure times; and closes one (1) hour before departure. Passengers may also utilize the airline’s online web checking facility which is available between 24 and 3 hours prior to flight departure.
