On August 26, 2026, police arrested and charged Kayank Thomas, a 27-year-old resident of Kingstown, with the offences of damage to property and theft.
Investigations revealed that on August 23, 2026, the accused damaged one (1) right front window valued at $500.00 ECC, and two (2) rear windows value $600.00 ECC, total value being $1,100.00 ECC – the property of a 59-year-old resident of Richmond Hill.
He was also charged with stealing one (1) case of blue soap valued at $71.00 ECC, the property of the same complainant.
The Offences were committed in Kingstown. Thomas appeared before the Serious Offences Court on August 27, 2026, where he pleaded guilty to both offences. He was remanded in custody until August 31, 2026, for the reading of the facts and sentencing.
