PRESS RELEASE
Dr. the Honourable Godwin Friday, President of the New Democratic Party and Leader of the Opposition will be travelling to Canada on Thursday 03 May 2018 to attend the funeral of a close family member who recently passed away.
As a result of this unscheduled trip, Dr. Friday will be forced to miss parliament which was postponed to the 03 May 2018.
The Hon. St. Clair Leacock, Vice President and MP for Central Kingstown will act as President in the absence of Dr. Friday.
Dr. Friday is expected to be out of state until 10 May.
The Executive, Central Committee and other members of the NDP express their condolences to Dr. Friday and his family.
