Leon “Bigger Biggs” Samuel a businessman from Mesopotamia has been fined by the court and ordered to pay forthwith on two separate charges.
The charges stem from the driving of his vehicle PR 382 dangerously to the public and driving the said vehicle in the wrong direction at Bay Street on December 24th, 2017.
The sentence was handed down on Friday, September 21st, 2018 by Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne after Samuel was convicted for the offences.
Samuel is accused of driving his vehicle on the date in question and struck Kevin Hamilton a Vendor Compliance Officer at the Kingstown Town Board on his left side during which time he fell to the ground sustaining injuries.
Hamilton was at the time on duty along with other co-workers cleaning up the streets of Kingstown when they went to Samuel’s business place and requested that the workers unlocked some benches that were chained to a railing.
