Lionel George a resident from the Rockies community has been arrested and charged by the Criminal Investigation Department for the offence of attempted murder upon Tevin Williams of the same address on November 4th, 2018.
George is accused of arming himself with a firearm and inflicted a gun-shot wound to the chest of Williams which resulted in Williams being hospitalized for several days nursing the injury.
George appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday November 19th, 2018 before Chief Magistrate Rechanne Brown facing the charge to which he was not allowed to plea as the charge was laid indictable. Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche requested of the Court to deny bail.
He said that investigations are looking into other reports of a similar nature along with a report of murder. He requested more time to allow the officers to complete their work.
As a result, George was detained at Her Majesty’s Prisons for the next seven days following which his bail will be reviewed.
