Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro denounced that forces opposed to the Bolivarian nation are trying to strip his country of the Guayana Esequiba territory.
“This land was not gifted to us by the U.S. empire. On the contrary, the U.S. empire, the remnants of the British empire, and the right-wing aim to deprive us of our land,” he said during an event in which the Great Venezuela Housing Mission handed over the 4.8 millionth house.
Referring to statements made by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Maduro warned that his words reflect “a discourse against Venezuela by supporting the 1899 Arbitral Award, which they imposed with the British empire.”

The Bolivarian leader also announced that his administration will honor the Guayana Esequiba communities with the construction of 120 houses in San Martin de Turumban, on the edge of the Cuyuni River.
Meanwhile, Vice President Delcy Rodriguez urged Guyana’s President Irfaan Ali to desist from his illicit and illegitimate actions, comply with the 1966 Geneva Agreement, and respect the results of the Essequibo referendum held on December 3.
She recalled that Venezuela does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice in the resolution of the Essequibo territorial controversy, highlighting that Venezuelan diplomacy’s historical stance was unanimously supported by the people in the consultative.

Venezuela participates in the 22nd Assembly of the International Criminal Court
The Venezuelan state participates in the 22nd Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), where it also ratified its position regarding the commitment to human rights, accountability and justice in the face of the commission of crimes of international significance.

Maduro delivered the GMVV’s 4.800.000th home in Carabobo
The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, delivered this Thursday the 4.800.000th home of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV).
“Today key in hand, document in hand, own roof and safe house; 4.800.000 Venezuelans with the Great Venezuela Housing Mission,” he expressed.
The President reported that the 4 million 800 thousand milestone was unveiled in the Las Brisas Urban Planning in Guacara, Carabobo state.
The governor of the state of Carabobo, Rafael Lacava, was in charge of delivering the keys to the family benefiting from the 4.800.000 home, as well as delivering 100 single-family homes to the same number of awarded families.
In this sense, President Maduro explained that each house has 80 square meters and is an urbanization that is equipped with courts, parks, and common spaces so that all its inhabitants can enjoy a moment of recreation and tranquility.
