One man is dead following a shootout in the Pole Yard area of Arnos Vale late Thursday evening.

The death of Osburne Rogers will now be recorded as St Vincent and the Grenadines first homicide for the year 2019.

St Vincent and the Grenadines recorded 34 murders in 2018, 11 of which were solved.
