The month of March is being observed here in St Vubncnet and the Grenadines as Tax Awareness Month.
During the Month the Inland Revenue Department will be using the 31 days to sensitise persons on matters of taxation.
This will be done through a series of planned activities by the department.
According to the comptroller of the Inland Revenue Department, Mr Kelvin Pompey sensitization will be geared towards improving tax compliance.
Among other activities planned for the month are interactions with the media, visits to educational and financial institutions and a donation to the saint benedict charity.
A church service was held at the Methodist Church in Kingstown on Monday morning to mark the commencement of activities.
