Mavis Findlay-Joseph appointed Chief Education Officer

Effective Friday, June 26, 2026, Mrs. Mavis Findlay-Joseph has officially assumed the role of Chief Education Officer for the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Information in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Bringing over 34 years of experience as an educator to the position, Mrs. Findlay-Joseph has served across multiple levels of the nation’s educational system. Her extensive background includes work at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, as well as a recent role as a Senior Education Officer. Her professional journey has been characterized by her vision, dedication, commitment, and meticulousness.

Throughout her career, several key educational initiatives have flourished under Mrs. Findlay-Joseph’s direct supervision. These include serving as a Reading Specialist for C CETT from 2007 to 2010, acting as the Focal Point for the Early Learners Programme from 2015 to 2020, and working with the Peace Corps Eastern Caribbean from 2014 to 2023. Further demonstrating her dedication to educational advancement, she is currently pursuing her doctoral studies (Ed. D) in Educational Leadership, System and School.

The Ministry has extended a warm welcome to Mrs. Findlay-Joseph in her new capacity, wishing her a fruitful tenure. Additionally, the Ministry publicly thanked the Deputy Chief Education Officer, Mrs. Joycelyn Blake-Browne, for providing critical leadership during the transitionary period
