A planned strike by minibus owners in Central Kingstown has been halted after road repair works commenced in the area.
The authority, BRAGSA, confirmed in a press release that its Mobile Team is currently carrying out road repairs in Green Hill. The work is being conducted as part of the Authority’s ongoing road maintenance programme.
According to the press release, these works are specifically aimed at restoring the affected section of the roadway, improving driving conditions, and enhancing safety for both motorists and pedestrians who use the area.
The commencement of these repairs has led minibus owners to call off their planned industrial action, ensuring that public transportation services continue without disruption.
BRAGSA stated that it remains committed to maintaining and improving road infrastructure, with the goal of ensuring safer and more reliable travel for communities across St. Vincent and the Grenadines
